Q: A pipeline operator told me to submit drug and alcohol information to Veriforce, what do I need to send?
A: If you have not signed a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) with Veriforce you will need to execute one in order to submit drug and alcohol data to Veriforce. If you will use access to the Veriforce system for only drug and alcohol data reporting, there will be no cost for executing the PSA. If you sign a PSA due to drug and alcohol requirements, and at a later date you are asked to comply with an Operator’s OQ or safety requirements, you will then be required to pay an initiation fee. Once you submit your signed PSA to Veriforce, we will provide you with a login and password to Verisource, our online database.
Once you have your login and password, you will need to submit your data to Veriforce. You will need to email the following to drugalc@veriforce.com for review.
You will also need to login to VeriSource and submit the following:
Q: How many years of testing data do I need to submit?
A: You must submit statistical data reports for the past 5 years. If you have not performed PHMSA drug and alcohol testing for 5 years then upload reports for the years that you have conducted PHMSA testing.
Q: Other than the information that I send in to get set up, is there anything else that I need to do to stay in compliance?
A: In addition to the initial data submittal, the following information must be submitted semi-annually:
Q: How do I submit my covered employee list, supervisor training list, and statistical data reports?
A: Instructions on data submittal can be located here.
Q: When is the semi-annual data submittal due?
A: Semi-annual data has the following due dates
Report |
Due Date |
1st Half of the Year |
July 31st |
Complete Year |
January 31st |
Q: I already report my statistical data to someone else. Can I just send you those forms?
A: Veriforce reporting forms allow you to upload your data directly into our system. This allows your data to be entered efficiently and accurately. Additionally our forms provide us certain information that not all other reporting forms contain. For these reasons, statistical data will only be accepted on Veriforce's Statistical Data Report.
Q: What happens if there is a problem with my data?
A: If your plans are not complete or all required submittals are not received, you will receive notification directly from Veriforce. Veriforce will also provide assistance where necessary.
Q: I belong to a consortium, do I still need to submit the data?
A: Veriforce deals with a number of consortia / Third Party Administrators (TPA) in order to verify contractor compliance. If you participate in a consortium, please contact your provider to discuss whether they will submit the required documentation on your behalf.
Q: Where do I need to send the required drug and alcohol information?
A: You will submit your covered employee lists, supervisor training lists, and statistical data reports through VeriSource. Please email your Anti-Drug Plans and Alcohol Misuse Plans to drugalc@veriforce.com for review.
