Below are the necessary steps to get OQ covered employees qualified to work for a pipeline operator that uses Veriforce:
Step 1– You will need to sign a Professional Services Agreement (PSA).
You may simply download, sign and fax the agreement to Veriforce. You will also be required to pay a one-time setup fee of $250 (only if you have not previously executed a PSA with Veriforce). Once we have received your PSA and processed payment, you will be sent login information so that you may access our online database, VeriSource.
Step 2 – Once a PSA is in place for your company, you must utilize an authorized evaluator to conduct evaluations for individuals who are to perform OQ covered task work for pipeline operator’s that utilize Veriforce. You may elect to hire a third-party evaluator (www.oqevaluators.com) or send someone from your organization through the Veriforce evaluator authorization process. An annual fee of $125 will be assessed for each authorized evaluator within your organization. Evaluators must take a refresher test each year in order to remain authorized. Please note: additional approval is required for Dominion-specific tasks.
Step 3 – Once qualifications are in place, you will be able to login to the Veriforce online database, VeriSource, and produce a Field Verification Report (FVR) in order to demonstrate qualified status. The FVR lists pipeline operator-specific qualifications associated with your company and includes a date/time stamp to establish qualification status at a given time. You will be required to produce a FVR prior to performing OQ covered task work for a pipeline operator that utilizes Veriforce.
“Since becoming an operator member with Veriforce, they’ve always been very responsive to our needs, and great at providing innovative solutions to enhance the system. They offer a fresh perspective in dealing with the qualification issues the pipelines have faced and from that have built a solid tool for the operators and contractors.
The service is great, they’re responsive. If you call with a problem it’s generally fixed immediately. There’s not a lot of red tape to go through before they handle things.”
